What is a friend? It’s more than someone we simply met and know casually. For example, I “know” the head coach of the Eagles – his wife served on a board with me in Shreveport. I had occasion to meet with him and talk several times. But no, we aren’t friends (and I apologize if you think I’m name dropping!). A true friendship involves involvement together. And some “friends” are closer than others. Almost everyone has friends on different levels. So what did Jesus mean when he told the disciples that “you are my friends”? He’s not talking about salvation (our position) but something else. Join us Sunday for an insight into being “friends” with Jesus!
