John 4:43-54

We were flying at about 35,000 feet, flying over the Aleutian Islands, headed for the Philippines. We hit some turbulence, bumpy but not severe. Yet, I gripped my hand rest all the tighter. Why do I get nervous? I don’t know, but I do (a bad trait for someone who flies as much as I do). Calm comes when I realize that God is there, 35,000 feet in the air, and I can trust Him no matter what. “Distance” – whether altitude or miles on the ground, impacts how we see things sometimes. Yet, distance is not a barrier to Jesus. We can get a glimpse of this – and what difference it makes – in this second miracle recorded by John.
