Psalm 148

Looking at the night sky in the high desert is amazing. No lights to hinder the view; no clouds or haze to knock out the light of the more dim stars. And all those stars – and planets, and moons, and galaxies, and nebulae, and everything else came from the hand of God. And none of them are things to be worshipped, but rather, somehow, even as inanimate objects praise God. Because when a person sees them unhindered by other lights or haze, unhindered by a modern scientific mindset that tries to explain it all apart from God’s hand, it points to the greatness of the Creator. They are commanded to praise Him – as are we!
