My left eye was covered with a protective cup and gauze. I couldn’t wear my glasses over the cup, so I was stuck ‘seeing” with my right eye. The problem? My left eye is my dominant eye (backwards for a right-handed person), and my right eye needs the most correction by the lens. Everything was blurry. I couldn’t watch TV; I couldn’t read. I stayed this way for a mere 24 hours, but even so, when the doctor removed everything and I could see again, I was a happy camper! Imagine receiving such sight after being blind for a lifetime. And imagine the impact of the “joy robbers” that chastised the man who received his sight! We’ll see both threads this Sunday and we’ll see how we received sight, even though we may not be physically blind.
