Psalm 91

Last weekend, I was fishing with a friend on a small pond in east Texas. A mama duck and two or three ducklings swam by near the shore, but on open water. I suppose they were headed for wherever their nest was hiding in the thick cover along the opposite shoreline. The ducklings were huddled close to mama for safety! I’ve seen the same type of behavior with many birds. Mama’s wings protecting her young. God cares even more for his “young” and, although He is a Father, not a mother, He says His people may take refuge under His wings. He is our protector and source of security, as we’ll explore this week in Psalm 91.
