Finally, on this Sunday before Christmas, we come to Luke’s narrative of Jesus’ birth. A story many of us grew up hearing. It was common to hear it in school and church programs of the past as well as on radio and television. Perhaps others of us have only heard it relatively recently and only in a church setting. Whatever the case, most of us are quite familiar with it. However, I hope we are not so familiar with it that it has lost its wonder, for this is an amazing 20 verses. Join us as we consider again the truths of this familiar and amazing historical account.
