Week of November 10

Hello BBCers,
One of the songs we sing here at BBC is called “Blessed Be The Name”. At the end of the song, we sing the following words:
He gives and takes away,
He gives and takes away.
My heart will choose to say,
‘Lord blessed be Your name’.
It is easy to praise Him during the “giving” part of life and I think we would all agree that our worship and praise flows a lot easier when things are going well. But what happens when our life seems to be going through a rainy season, during the “take away” part? Does our worship continue? Are we as quick to give Him the praise He deserves? So often our response to God is conditional to our situation.
This Sunday we will begin a new series called Praise Under Pressure. When I think of people that endured hardship, one of the first ones that comes to my mind is Job. Why don’t you read ahead in the first chapter of Job and see his reaction to difficulty. It just might surprise you!

***ANNOUNCEMENTS***
Men’s Breakfast – This Saturday morning, 7:30am at the church.
Annual Church-wide Hayride – Saturday night - The annual Hayride at the Ralmuto’s home. This BodyLife event begins at 6:30pm, you won’t want to miss it.
Congregational Meeting - Congregational Meeting immediately after the morning service this Sunday. Plan to attend this informational meeting.
Baby Shower – This Sunday at 2pm, a baby shower for Sara Aquino at the church.
Nü Service – November 22 at 6pm. The Nü Perspectiv small group has planned a special worship service for the whole church. Childcare will be provided. Come for worship, study and food! Everyone is invited.

December 7 – BodyLife planning meeting immediately following the worship service, everyone interested in helping serve in this ministry is invited to attend. Lunch is provided. Contact Kim Malone for more information.
December 7 – Share Your Gift Night, 6pm. Get your acts and talents ready. This is a fun evening accompanied by tasty desserts.
