To my knowledge, no one in history has ever pitched a “perfect game” in baseball. But you say, there have been 23 such games in major league history. A perfect game is defined as a game in which no batters reach first base. In a nine-inning game that is 27 up and 27 down. This feat was last accomplished in 2012. But let us think for a moment. Were any of those pitchers perfect? Did they throw any balls? Did any hitters put the ball in play? Were only 81 perfect strikes thrown? But if baseball were measured by God’s standards perfect would not be perfect. Are you perfect? Well, of course, none of us would claim that. Join us Sunday as we consider perfection from Hebrews 7:11-28.
