Psalm 116

I once attended a meeting held in a local church (not in Texas). Someone else there, who perceived the church as old and cold, asked me if I knew what was in the attic. Of course, I had no idea. He then told me, “All those prayers!” He perceived the prayers of that group to have traveled no further than the roof. I don’t agree with his perception, but it certainly serves as an example of the difference between a deaf ‘god’ and the God who hears. Our God hears!!! The author of this week’s psalm prayed big – and God gave him his desire. What a great reminder!
