This week’s announcements
- CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – We will have our annual congregational meeting on Sunday, October 25 immediately following the service. All are invited to attend the meeting, but only those that have made the Commitment to the Community will be eligible to vote. Prior to the meeting we will have a potluck lunch. Please bring a dish to share.
- MATLACK COMMUNITY GROUP – They will be starting a new study in the Book of Revelation, on Monday, October 12, at 6:30pm. For more information about this group, please contact Rob Matlack.
- CHURCH WORKDAY – We will have a church workday on October 3, at 8:30am. There are lots of outside and inside jobs that need to be completed. For more information, please contact Marc Charpentier.
- NEXT STEP WOMEN’S CENTER GALA – Mark your calendars! We encourage you to attend the annual Fund-Raising Gala event on Thursday, October 15, at 6pm at the Doubletree Hotel in Fort Worth. For details, please contact Becky Charpentier.
- DAY TRIP TO CANTON — Ladies, come join us as we make a trip to Canton for First Mondays Trade Days (giant indoor/outdoor flea market!) on Saturday, October 3. We will leave early in the morning 7:00ish and return that evening sometime between 7:00-8:00. We will plan to stop for dinner on the way home. This will be a great time to fellowship while getting an early start on Christmas shopping. Sign-up on the back table.
- LUNCHEON FOR NEXT STEP WOMEN’S CENTER VOLUNTEERS: On Wednesday, September 30, BBC will provide a bite-size finger food charcuterie for the center’s volunteers. A sign-up list is on the back table with a list of items needed for the spread. You may also provide monetary support if you prefer. Please deliver items to the church by Sunday, September 27. If you’re available to help set up on Wednesday morning the 30th, please let Becky Charpentier or Jamie Beth know.
- WOMEN’S THURDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY – Ladies, there will be a new study called “It Is Well” by The Daily Grace Co., beginning this Thursday at 9:45am, at Verna Matlack’s home. For more information, please contact Kati Thompson.
- YOUTH AWANA-HELPER DINNER SIGN-UP – We still need helpers to serve dinner for our Youth AWANA-Helpers, please sign up at this link on the screen. For more information, please contact Caitlin Ridlen.
- GREETERS MINISTRY – We are needing some volunteers to serve as Sunday morning greeters. If you are interested in serving, please contact Robin Allshouse.
