Following Jesus with your life means living out an active faith, one that is willing to sacrifice just as Jesus did. If you had to sum up discipleship in a single word, it would be obedience. Baptism is the very first step of obedience for every believer who desires to follow Jesus as Lord. It is a public declaration that we have been saved by God’s grace and that we want to walk with Him, identifying ourselves with Christ and committing our lives to follow wherever He leads.
