The Hallmark Of Humility
As people called by God to represent Jesus Christ in our world, one characteristic that should set us apart from our selfish, individualistic society is humility. What better way to model Christ than to humbly love and serve others? This Sunday, we will explore what one author describes as “the theological and Christological centerpiece and jewel of the book”—Philippians 2:5-8, which discusses the self-humiliation of Christ. May God prepare our hearts to receive the lesson He desires to teach us.
Curious, Convinced, Or Committed?
When it comes to our relationship to God, there are three kinds of people in the world. Some have not yet come to know Jesus Christ as Savior, others have come to Him for Salvation, and still others go on to follow him as their Lord. We see examples of these groups in the Gospel of John. We may also see ourselves in the truth that we find there.
The Way To Oneness
Philippians 2:1-4 Jesus indicated that the world would recognize His divine origin through the unity of the Body of Christ. While this concept sounds simple, achieving unity is quite challenging, especially in a society that values individualism. However, as believers grow closer to Jesus and strive to follow Him, the Holy Spirit cultivates that unity among them.
