The Lordship Of Jesus

Philippians 2:9-11 What do Christians mean when we say, “Jesus is Lord”? What does the Bible mean when it states, “Jesus is Lord”? In Philippians 2:9-11, the apostle Paul explains that one day, everyone in heaven, on earth, and even under the earth will confess that Jesus is Lord. This Sunday, we will explore what it means for God to have exalted Jesus as Lord of all and what this signifies for us as His followers.

The Hallmark Of Humility

As people called by God to represent Jesus Christ in our world, one characteristic that should set us apart from our selfish, individualistic society is humility. What better way to model Christ than to humbly love and serve others? This Sunday, we will explore what one author describes as “the theological and Christological centerpiece and jewel of the book”—Philippians 2:5-8, which discusses the self-humiliation of Christ. May God prepare our hearts to receive the lesson He desires to teach us.

Curious, Convinced, Or Committed?

When it comes to our relationship to God, there are three kinds of people in the world. Some have not yet come to know Jesus Christ as Savior, others have come to Him for Salvation, and still others go on to follow him as their Lord. We see examples of these groups in the Gospel of John. We may also see ourselves in the truth that we find there.

The Way To Oneness

Philippians 2:1-4  Jesus indicated that the world would recognize His divine origin through the unity of the Body of Christ. While this concept sounds simple, achieving unity is quite challenging, especially in a society that values individualism. However, as believers grow closer to Jesus and strive to follow Him, the Holy Spirit cultivates that unity among them. This Sunday, Paul will discuss how we can foster unity within the church, enabling those outside the church to understand that Jesus came to…

A Worthy Walk

Philippians 1:27-30  Does the way a Christian lives truly matter? Many believers assume that their actions have no impact on others and that their choices don’t influence anyone’s decision to believe in Jesus. However, the Bible challenges this notion. It clearly states that our behavior can either draw people closer to the gospel or push them away. This Sunday, we will explore the profound meaning behind Paul’s exhortation to “conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel.” Join us as…

Why Did Jesus Rise?

2 Corinthians 5:15 What does the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead mean for us living in the 21st century? In fact, it means everything. There are many reasons why Jesus rose from the dead, but one reason in particular is essential for everyone to understand. Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and explore how this event, which took place over 2,000 years ago, is still relevant to our lives today.

Why Did Jesus Die?

Beyond the BunnyEaster 2025 Of all the ways God could have saved the world, why did He choose the death of His Son, Jesus? Why was there no other way to redeem us and bring us to God except through the death of Christ? This Sunday, on Palm Sunday, we will explore the answer to this question, which will inspire us to humbly proclaim the love and goodness of God.

Beyond The Bunny

Easter 2025 Sermon 1 – Why Jesus Lived It’s that time of year when store shelves are filled with chocolate bunnies, Easter eggs, toys, baskets, and whatever those spongy rabbit treats known as “Peeps” are. For Christians, this is the most significant holy day of the year as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. But what do most people believe about Easter? What is the significance of Jesus’ life, death, and ultimate resurrection, and how does it relate to…

To Live Is Christ

Philippians 1:21-26  How would you honestly answer the question, “For me to live is…?” What is life about for you? For the Apostle Paul, life was all about Jesus Christ and serving Him with everything he had. What a passion and perspective! This is the mindset that every follower of Jesus should strive to have.  What does it mean to say “to live is Christ”? This Sunday, we will explore what Paul meant by this statement and discover how we, too, can…

Magnifying Christ

Philippians 1:19-20 So far in the book of Philippians, we have seen how the Apostle Paul has prayed for the believers in Philippi. Now, in verses 19-20, Paul expresses how they can pray for him! When you find yourself in desperate circumstances, do you pray? Do you ask others to pray for you? What specifically do you pray for? For Paul, his prayer request reveals what the heart of a devoted follower of Christ looks like—someone who wants to magnify Christ.

Opportunity Knocks

Philippians 1:12-18 As followers of Jesus, we should make the Gospel central in our lives. God has commissioned us as His children to spread the message of Christ to the world. Many believers think this requires a specific “call” to a particular people group or nation, or that special training is necessary to become an evangelist. However, this is not true. There are countless opportunities for every believer to share the life-changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The key…
