I never lived close to either set of my grandparents, but when we saw them, it was always a wonderful time. My grandpa on my mom’s side was a musician and would always play for us – what a treat. He was an amazing man. He led music in the church and his willingness to serve others was known throughout the community. There are many things he did that I’ve shared with my kids. I want his life to be remembered.
Sunday, I will be teaching from Psalm 145, and one particular verse that stands out to me is verse 4, “One generation shall commend your works to another and shall declare your mighty acts.” While it’s worthy that we preserve the legacy of our family, it’s more important that we tell others of God’s greatness and love. I hope you can join us Sunday as we look at God’s Word and understand the importance of sharing the goodness of God to future generations.
