I imagine that most of us would like to add to this list. Sure, maybe humans can “survive”, physically with these basic needs, but surely humans want to do more than merely survive.

Yet, when we look around our world, country, city, churches, and even families, surviving might be the best descriptor.

God did not create us to merely survive, but thrive! He calls it “life” throughout the Bible. Jesus said, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

What is the key to moving from simply surviving to thriving with life? LOVE. God’s love is the source of true life. This Sunday, the Apostle Paul, for the first time in Romans, introduces us to the love of God and shows us that His love is like no other.
