Romans 2:2-4
As Christians, we enjoy the never-ending always available grace of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in Lamentations 3, “The Lord’s lovingkindness indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
What we fail to understand though, at times, is that God’s lovingkindness, compassion, and faithfulness to us as His children may not always look like we think it should. There are times when our loving Heavenly Father’s love and faithfulness may be seen in His chastening of us when we stray as His children.
Romans 1-2 speaks a lot about the righteous wrath of God on all who suppress His truth in their unrighteousness. Though this is seen often in the unbelieving world, it can also be seen in the lives of believers as well.
God, in His perfect holiness and desire to make His children more like Jesus, He will, at times, display His righteous anger towards His wayward children. This Sunday we will explore what that looks like and how we can avoid experiencing this in our lives so as to honor God in all we do.
